I live in Denver.  We’re here because of my husband’s job but our goal is to move to Minnesota when he retires in a few years.  My dream is to be able to practice sustainable farming at our new home.  Some people call it “Hobby Farming” but I like “Sustainable Farming” because that is my aim: for my family to be able to be self sustaining.

Solar panels, a house off the grid, a henhouse, a big garden, canning our own pickles, growing our own produce.  That’s my dream.

For now, I’m doing what I can with a tiny yard that has soil unfit for gardening.  I’m far from quitting though!  You can get pretty creative if you give yourself a chance.
